Why Western NSW
- Modern facilities - our facilities are modern with new builds, recently completed redevelopments and upcoming projects ensuring that you will work with the most up-to-date technology in bright, welcoming clinician-designed workspaces.
- Challenge yourself - you’ll see a wide range of presentations that you may not see in metropolitan areas – so you can work with your colleagues to the top of your scope.
- Work with a like-minded team - develop solid working relationships with all the clinicians and support staff in your team.
- Make a difference to vulnerable Australians - our communities have complex health with a 20% higher than average NSW mortality rate, 48% higher rate of preventable deaths and higher rates of obesity, blood pressure and cholesterol.
- Meaningful gains in Aboriginal Health - Aboriginal peoples make up 15% of our population and are more than two times likely to have a preventable hospitalisation. We are actively working toward closing the gap and you can play your part.
- Shape the future with research - we have a robust research vision, are proactive in seeking research opportunities supported by research leadership, key partnerships and collaboration and sustainable funding. Find out more about our research.
- Influence the next generation - our hospitals have several accredited training programs, and also opportunities to teach with our university partners on their local campuses.
- Statewide network - our hospitals have strong connections within the District and also to tertiary hospitals in Sydney, so our team never feels isolated.
- Well respected - the experience you'll get in Western NSW is well respected throughout the state. Our clinicians are highly sought after for their broad experience and leadership qualities.
