Grenfell Multipurpose Service - a great place to work
Grenfell Health Service is a busy local hospital with 24-hour emergency care, inpatient beds, rehabilitation and palliative care.
Pathology services available Monday to Friday and for emergencies.
Primary and community health services include ambulatory care (supporting wound care, palliative care and discharge home care provision), a social worker, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, dietetics, wound management, ambulatory care, cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation programs. Falls prevention and physical stability group programs which use the gymnasium area are also run by the community health team.
Visiting LHD services include a women’s health nurse, hearing nurse, drug and alcohol services, mental health community outreach and children’s dental services.

Grenfell - a great place to live
Grenfell is located in the Lachlan Valley and the town is renowned for its historic buildings, galleries and country pubs. There is a newsagency, supermarkets, pharmacy, post office, and fuel station. There are numerous motels, hotel and caravan park accommodation options.
Grenfell celebrates the Henry Lawson Festival of Arts every June and takes pride in the local produce, which is showcased through its cafes and restaurants.
Located in the Weddin Shire local government area on Wiradjuri land, the town has a history in gold mining, famous bushrangers and was the birth place of one of Australia’s most famous writers – Henry Lawson.

Grenfell summers are hot and mostly clear and winter is cold and partly cloudy. The temperature typically varies from 2°C to 32°C.

Getting here and getting away
Grenfell is a rural community located in the Central West of NSW, a 1.5 hour drive to Orange and 2.5 hour to Dubbo.
There are daily flights from Orange to Sydney and weekday flights to Brisbane and Melbourne. Find flight services at Orange regional airport.
Dubbo has direct flights to Sydney, Melbourne, Newcastle and Canberra and has over 12 flights departing daily. For current schedules please visit the Dubbo Regional Airport website.
A bus service runs to Grenfell from Sydney via Orange multiple times per week.
It’s just approximately 4.5 hours drive from Sydney to Grenfell.
