Oberon Health Service - a great place to work
Oberon Multipurpose Service (MPS) has a 24 hour emergency department with 3 emergency department beds, 8 acute care beds and 10 residential aged care beds.
Medical services include emergency and critical care, aged care, medical imaging, district nursing, community nursing and child and family health.
Community health services include health promotion programs, ambulatory care, community nursing, child and family health services, wound management, smoking cessation service, women's health clinic, children’s dental, nurse led foot clinic and nurse led exercise groups and diet and nutrition services.

Oberon - a great place to live
Oberon has a population of 3,500 is located in the Central Tablelands of NSW, it is almost 50km east of Bathurst and about 280 km west of Sydney.
Oberon is surrounded by hills, open ranges and wilderness, nearby Jenolan Caves and Kanangra-Boyd National Park are great for exploring. The area is popular for its cool summers, snowy winters and its four distinct seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter.
The main industry in Oberon is forestry, timber processing to finished product. Oberon also has a strong farming history with prime lambs and beef cattle being the main rural industry.
Oberon is also home to Australia's largest privately owned cool climate garden, Mayfield Gardens. The garden is family friendly with winding pathways, wooden bridges and waterfalls. A popular place to visit and enjoy a picnic and for seasonal festivals.
Climate
Oberon has a cool climate and experiences all four seasons. The summers are comfortable and the winters are very cold, with several snowfalls each year.
Community
Living in Oberon means clean air, little traffic, a crisp alpine climate, a short drive or walk to work, friendly people, a safe environment and a real sense of community. Surrounded by beautiful scenery and a community that are very proud of their hometown, there are a number of sporting clubs to quickly become part of the local lifestyle.
Oberon has a golf course, hockey and netball fields, an indoor tennis centre, equestrian facilities and a heated swimming pool. Other popular sports include rugby union and rugby league, sailing, motorcycling and soccer. The Oberon pioneer railway line has been restored so it can be used as a walking and cycling track.
There are two preschools, two primary schools and two high schools in Oberon and private schools, TAFE and University at nearby Bathurst - providing good education options.
Oberon has a range of cafes, restaurants and clubs for dining out, there are two supermarkets, a bakery, petrol station, retail stores, three banks, a post office, three churches, pharmacy and multiple hotels.

Getting here and getting away
Oberon is a 2 hour 45 minute drive from Sydney through the beautiful Blue Mountains and approximately 40 minute drive to Bathurst.
Bathurst has direct flights to Sydney, 6 days a week with two flights on weekdays. For current schedules please visit the Bathurst Airport website.
Trains run between Bathurst and Sydney twice daily and a coach service to meet the TrainLink/train from Lithgow to Sydney runs more frequently. Transport for NSW
