Baradine Multipurpose Service
Baradine Multipurpose Service (MPS) has an emergency department, inpatient beds and residential aged care beds and community health services including child health, maternal health, immunisation programs, ambulatory clinic (servicing wound care, pathology, immunisations, indwelling catheter management and care coordination), in-home visits to support palliative care and care coordination, cardiac rehabilitation and central venous access device (CVAD) management.
Visiting services include family and community services, community mental health services and dental services.
Baradine MPS is part of a rural / metro exchange program for newly graduated registered nurses, who rotate between Baradine and Concord Hospital in Sydney.
Due to its location several clinical positions in Baradine MPS qualify for incentives.

Baradine - a great place to live
Baradine was once a timber milling town which sustained 12 timber mills and a population of 1,580 residents. Baradine today still echoes a feeling reminiscent of the 1930’s though the population is now 760 people. Although timber milling has nearly vanished in the area, Baradine now has a new reputation as a bird watchers and nature lovers' paradise with a tight-knit community.
Baradine township has a variety of shops including a supermarket, cafe, chemist, supermarket, hairdresser, post office, and rural supplies shop.
Baradine has its own Aboriginal Lands Council, renowned schools, rural transaction centre and a bowling club and two hotels.
The Baradine community are warm and welcoming and our health professionals are very much valued. You can get involved in this close knit community by being a volunteer in the State Emergency Services, joining the Country Womens Association, the RSL Ladies Auxiliary, the Rural Fire Service the Aged Care Committee who raise funds for our aged care services and also the Progress Association.
Baradine has a thriving sporting community including cricket, senior rugby league, junior sports, a jockey club and a public swimming pool offering swimming lessons and water exercise classes.
Events in Baradine include the Agricultural Show in March, Tour de Gorge bike riding event in September, and a community ball in October. The local hotels often have live music and regular events are held for the kids

Baradine is close to many nature experiences. These include the Pilliga State Forest, Dandry Gorge, Sculptures in the Scrub, the Salt Caves and fire tower, which has spectacular views across the local area. Birdlife is abundant around Baradine and in these attractions. Nearby in the famous Warrumbungle National Park which is home to Australia’s only Dark Sky Park and many fabulous walking trails.

Getting here & getting away
It is a 6 hour drive from Sydney to Baradine and there is a weekly train/bus service. Dubbo is a little over two hours drive, where there are daily flights to all east coast capital cities.
