Mudgee Health Service - a great place to work
The Mudgee Health Service redevelopment was opened in 2020 providing contemporary facilities and integrated models of health care.
Services include: 24 hour emergency care, inpatient unit, maternity unit, 2 operating theatres, paediatrics, outpatient services including community health, physiotherapy, mental health, occupational therapy, speech pathology, oral health, renal dialysis and oncology.
There are onsite pathology services and medical imaging providing x-ray, ultrasound and CT.
Visiting services include nephrology, podiatry, psychiatry and oncology consultation clinics.
The emergency department manages 40-50 patients daily and there are around 140 elective theatre lists annually, in addition to elective & emergency caesarean sections.

Mudgee - a great place to live
Mudgee is located on the traditional lands of the Wiradjuri people and one our District’s great wine towns. Set on the banks of the pretty Cudgegong River, the townscape still possesses the character of its colonial past.

Climate
Mudgee has a humid subtropical climate with semi-arid characteristics. Summers are hot with the occasional thunderstorm. Winters are relatively cold, with frosty mornings and sunny days.

Getting here and getting away
Mudgee is a 3.5 hour drive from Sydney or you can fly directly 6 times per week.
Mudgee is a 1 hour and 30 minute drive to Dubbo. Dubbo has direct flights to Sydney, Melbourne, Newcastle and Canberra and has over 12 flights departing daily. For current schedules please visit the Dubbo Regional Airport website.
