Wellington Health Service - a great place to work

Wellington Health Service has a busy emergency department with three beds and wards with 12 acute beds.  Additional services from Wellington include ambulatory care, dialysis, a methadone clinic, virtual facture clinic and weekly dental. Child and family health, social work, Aboriginal health, diabetes educator, health promotion, physiotherapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy (OT), paediatric OT, dietician, and community health services are supplemented by visiting services - drug and alcohol, chronic care, mental health and psychiatry.

Wellington - a great place to live

Wellington is a situated in the foothills of the Mount Arthur Reserve where the Bell and Macquarie Rivers meet.  It is located just a 35 minute drive from Dubbo offering a driving commute opportunity.

The township services the surrounding farming community and has two major supermarkets, fuel stations, caravan park, hotels, motels, a chemist, cafes and speciality stores.  A major correctional facility is located outside of the town and provides ongoing employment opportunities. 

Wellington has a vibrant sporting community as well as attractions including Wellington Caves, Mount Arthur Reserve for bushwalking, the Burrendong Botanic Garden and Arboretum and Burrendong dam which is a favourite of the locals for watersports including boating, water skiing, swimming and camping.

Getting here and getting away

Wellington is a 4-hour and 30-minute drive from Sydney. You can fly from Sydney to Dubbo and Wellington is a 35-minute drive or there is a daily train to and from Sydney.
