Parent resource hub
The Parent resource hub provides links to organisations that can provide you with support and information on a range of topics, including:
- mental health and well being
- careers, training and further education
- child development and disabilities
- the Assistance for Isolated Children Scheme.
Home Schooling Consultative Group (HSCG)

Home schooling support groups and networks
There are many support groups, associations and networks to support home schooling parents. Typically, these groups provide advice and materials relating to different approaches:
- how to start
- ways to plan
- record keeping
- other tips that parents have found to be successful.

- NESA does not promote or endorse any particular group or organisation.
- Some groups may charge fees to join or access materials.
- Any arrangements between a parent and a group or organisation are between the parties involved.
- From time to time, details of a group may change. NESA will publish such changes if advised of the new details.
- The following list identifies some of the larger groups. It provides contact details that are current at the time of publication.

NAPLAN
Children registered for home schooling in NSW are invited to participate in the National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN). Read more about NAPLAN and home schooling.
Further study: Smart and Skilled
The NSW Government's Smart and Skilled initiative provides subsidies for participation in vocational education and training. Registered home schooled students who are over 15 years may be eligible for Smart and Skilled subsidies.
