Matters arising from the minutes of 7 December 2020
1a. Home schooling processes in response to COVID-19
NESA continues to work with Authorised Persons to ensure applicants are provided with information regarding assessment by video/audio technology.

1b. Meetings 2021
Meeting dates for 2021 have been finalised and communicated to members. The remaining meetings are 23 June, 15 September, and 8 December 2021.

In response to member feedback and the previous consultation survey, further suggested amendments to the Guidelines for Home Schooling Registration in NSW were presented to members. The amendments were unanimously accepted. The revised Guidelines will now be published on the NESA website
Action arising: NESA to publish the revised Guidelines on its website and inform members when published.
The home schooling data report relating to 2020 was provided to members on a confidential basis. Members were advised that the report will shortly be published. Several members expressed interest in reviewing the current categories used to collect data.
Action arising: NESA to inform members when the report has been published. NESA to consider a review of current data categories.
An update on the number of applications received to date in 2021. It was noted that the data continues to reflect an increase in the number of children registered for home schooling.

A summary of results from the 2020 self-assessment survey was provided.

HSCG membership
A member raised a question regarding the length of HSCG member terms as per its terms of reference.
Action arising: NESA to provide clarification at the next meeting.
