Report violence, abuse or neglect
If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic and family violence, you can get help through the Domestic Violence Line.
To report a physical or sexual assault to police, contact your nearest police station. Police are trained to support people who have experienced sexual assault or domestic and family violence.
To report suspected abuse, neglect or sexual assault involving a child, call the 24-hour Child Protection Helpline on 13 21 11.
Call the 24-hour NSW Domestic Violence Help Line on 1800 65 64 63 for information and support.
24-hour crisis support
Crisis support is available through our 24/7 Integrated Crisis Violence Abuse and Neglect services. These include psychosocial support and forensic and medical care for sexual assault, domestic and family violence, and child physical abuse and neglect.
You can access this at Bathurst, Bourke, Dubbo or Orange hospital emergency departments, or call your local hospital to be put in contact with the nearest on-call service.

Counselling
We offer counselling support for people of all ages who have experienced sexual assault, domestic or family violence. This includes specialised counsellors for children and young people who are at risk of significant harm or have experienced physical abuse, neglect or violence.
Child wellbeing advice for health professionals
Public health workers including doctors and nurses can contact the NSW Health Child Wellbeing Unit for advice if they have concerns about the safety, welfare and wellbeing of any child, young person, or unborn child in NSW.
Problematic sexual behaviour in young people
Parents or carers of children under 10 with problematic and harmful sexual behaviour can access support through the Safe Wayz program. Call 1300 727 826.
Young people aged 10 to 17 years who have engaged in problematic or harmful sexual behaviours towards others can access support through the New Street program. The program requires the participation of families and carers. Call (02) 6809 7320.
