Strata management agencies can now take advantage of a software integration option to streamline annual reporting for the strata schemes they manage.

Instead of submitting an individual report for each strata scheme one by one, there are new ‘bulk upload’ alternatives that strata management agencies may consider.
What is the software integration option for strata scheme reporting?
The new software integration option was developed for strata managers to bulk upload reports for multiple strata schemes. This uses an API, which is an automatic connecter between the strata management agency’s software and the Strata Hub.
How was the software integration option developed and why is it needed?
To help ensure the API solution met industry needs, the Strata Hub team consulted with strata management agency representatives and conducted user testing with software providers. This gave us valuable feedback to improve the solution before it was rolled out in September 2022.
Stephen Brell, President of the Strata Community Association (NSW) – the leading professional industry body for strata in NSW, was involved in the consultation that has informed both the software integration reporting option and a further spreadsheet option in development. Acknowledging the benefits of software integration, Mr Brell said it “will integrate with our strata software suppliers to allow for the annual ongoing requirements of reporting to the Hub.”
He also welcomed the alternative – a “bulk upload facility, which will allow us to load the data from our portfolios into the Hub using simple spreadsheets.”
Mr Brell said that both solutions would make strata scheme reporting more efficient:
“These innovations will provide hundreds of hours worth of savings for our members and for strata owners… [The Strata Hub team has] been extremely collaborative and most importantly they’ve listened to our concerns and the concerns of our members regarding the implementation of the Hub.”
What if a strata management agency doesn’t use a software provider?
If a strata manager has few clients and doesn’t have a software provider, there are flexible alternatives to consider. This includes the Excel spreadsheet option to ‘bulk upload’ reporting for multiple schemes, with the functionality to upload the spreadsheets to the Strata Hub. Alternatively, certain strata managers may still prefer to report schemes individually instead of using the API or bulk upload options.
