Disciplinary actions taken by NSW Fair Trading
Following an investigation, Fair Trading’s actions against PSMG Pty Ltd included:
- Cancelling the corporation licence of PSMG Pty Ltd (licence number 1688934) and the individual licence of the licensee in charge, Mr Whitney Hong Wang (licence number 1092361).
- Declaring both PSMG Pty Ltd and Mr Wang to be disqualified persons under the Property and Stock Agents Act 2002 for 10 years.
This disciplinary action is suspended during a legal process underway.
Update on legal matter before NCAT
It will take time before the current legal process ends and an outcome is reached. The matter is next before NCAT on 16 December 2024.
Summary of previous developments
On 5 August 2024
- The NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT) decided that the licences remain reinstated.
- PSMG Pty Ltd and Mr Wang can continue to operate while they exercise their review and appeal rights in the legal process underway.
On 26 July 2024
- PSMG Pty Ltd and Mr Wang applied to the NCAT for a stay of the decisions until the appeal could be determined.
- NCAT granted a temporary stay of the decisions.
