The Valuer General of NSW is an independent statutory officer that sets and oversees the valuation of land in NSW. Value NSW manages and supports this valuation system.

Land values online search tool
You can search land values with our online tools.
Use our land value search tool to view and print land values and property information from the Register of Land Values from 1 July 2001.
Use these steps to help you use our online tools to find a land valuation.
Find your property number
You will need a property number to search for a land value. You can find this:
- on your Notice of Valuation, which we issue at least once every three years
- on your land tax assessment from Revenue NSW
- by conducting a title reference enquiry if you know your title reference
- by conducting a property address enquiry if you know your property address.
Using the value search tool
Once you have your property number, you can use our land value search tool.
Enter your property number and select the date of the valuation you need.

Getting a certificate of land value
The Valuer General can supply you with a certificate of land value. This is a legal document that certifies the details of an entry in the Register of Land Values. It includes the:
- land value
- owner's name/s
- property description
- area and dimensions
- applicable allowances
- property number
- date the valuation was made.

Register for an activation key
To request a certificate of land valuation, you need an activation key.
An activation key lets you access our online services. You can reuse your key multiple times for each service.
Use this online registration form to apply for an activation key.
Please enter your details carefully. We will:
- email your activation key to the address you give us
- use these details to contact you about any services you use your key for.
Find your property number
You will need a property number to search for a land value. You can find this:
- on your Notice of Valuation, which we issue every three years
- on your land tax assessment from Revenue NSW
- by conducting a title reference enquiry if you know your title reference
- by conducting a property address enquiry if you know your property address.
Requesting a certificate of land value
Once you have an activation key and property number, you can use this online form to request a certificate of land value.
How to use this form:
- enter your activation key
- enter your property number
- select the valuing year required.
Land value summaries by region and LGA
You can access land value summaries for regions and local government areas (LGA) with our online search tools.
Bulk land value summaries
You can access bulk land value information for LGAs from 2017 onwards.
This data is updated every month with a ZIP file. The ZIP file contains property data and land values for each LGA, going back 5 years from the date of the file's creation.
Historical land values
You can find historical land value summaries in our online database. You can search by LGA and year to find data and trends.
