At Hunter New England Imaging we focus on patient care and use the latest medical imaging technology.
We provide radiology, nuclear medicine and BreastScreen services across 35 primary, secondary and tertiary hospitals and community health facilities.
We provide your referring doctor or specialist with an examination report on your medical imaging that will support your clinical care.
We provide a range of medical imaging services using the latest technology.

My Imaging Portal
The My Imaging Portal allows you to easily access and share your exams with your doctor or other referrer. You can also manage your own images, X rays, and exam data.
To find out more, enquire about the service at your next imaging appointment.
- At your next imaging appointment, ask the receptionist to give you access to your images online.
- You'll need to provide an email address and mobile phone number to set up your access.
- You'll also need to give approval verbally or via a signature on a form.
An email will be sent to you with login details and a link to access the My Imaging Portal.
You can also get a printout with a code to take to your doctor or other referrer.

Referrers can now view online the studies which they have referred.
How to get access
To get access to the My Imaging Portal as a referrer, you will need to email the Imaging Support team at hnelhd-imagingsupport@health.nsw.gov.au. You will also need to complete a privacy undertaking form.

Medical imaging referrals
You do not need to be a hospital inpatient to access our medical imaging services.
Outpatient medical imaging services are available at many of our imaging facilities. We bulk bill for outpatient imaging services so there is no out of pocket cost for any Medicare funded service.
You will need a referral for our imaging services, you can get a referral from your:
- GP
- medical specialist
- sports medicine physician
- chiropractor
- physiotherapist
- podiatrist.
