Visitor information and restrictions
Updated 02/09/2024
With a decrease in COVID-19 and respiratory illnesses, masks are no longer required for visitors or patients unless they have a suspected or confirmed respiratory illness. Vulnerable patients are encouraged to wear masks, and healthcare workers in the Emergency Department will continue to wear masks and eye protection.
If you have cold or flu symptoms, please avoid visiting for at least 7 days. If you must visit, you will be required to wear a mask. Do not visit if you have been exposed to COVID-19 within the last 7 days or if the person you wish to visit has COVID-19 (clinical assessment required).
Restrictions may change based on local COVID-19 outbreaks, potentially limiting visitors and increasing personal protective equipment (PPE) use.
Visiting hours
Visitors are generally allowed from 8am to 8pm, 7 days a week. There is a rest period from 1pm to 3pm, during which visitors are restricted to help patients recover. For specific visiting hours, contact the ward directly.
