Location and history
The Arts Exchange is located in the vibrant, harbour-side area of The Rocks at 10 Hickson Road, The Rocks, Sydney NSW 2000.
Built from 1902-1908 as a power station, The Arts Exchange is a six-storey stone and brick office building. It was used as a geological and mining museum until 1996. In 1999, Create NSW took over the lease and converted the building into office accommodation for the arts. In 2015 the building was refurbished.
