Find support if you're looking to work, upskill, or start a small business.
There are a range of government support services to help cover the cost of finding work or completing approved studies. These include:
- JobSeeker Payment
- Youth Allowance if you’re 21 or younger and looking for work, as well as the Youth Allowance for a full-time student or apprentice up to 24 years of age
- payments for apprentices
- concession and health care cards for cheaper health services and medicines
- reduced fares on NSW public transport for eligible customers.
Additionally, there are dedicated services and support programs to find and maintain employment for:
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, including ABSTUDY and Remote Area Allowance
- job applicants with disability, including the Mobility Allowance and Disability Support Pension.
