'Love Your Local' Campaign
'Love Your Local' was a six-week initiative designed to support businesses along the Parramatta LightRail route, which ran from Friday 20 September to Friday 1 November 2024.
Participants were asked to visit their favourite local business between Westmead and Carlingford and to send a photo to the Parramatta Light Rail team.
We received fantastic pictures of people enjoying their time out at their favourite local business, from independent clothing stores on Church Street, barber shops in Telopea and eating delicious food at local cafes and restaurants along the light rail alignment.
A total of 60 lucky winners* received a $100 voucher each to spend at a participating local business.
The new Parramatta Light Rail will provide a boost to businesses, with around 22,000 people expected to utilise light rail services every day by 2026.
Restaurant Guide 2024
Parramatta's Church Street dining and entertainment precinct is the place to be, with more than 60 restaurants, bars, al fresco eateries, cafés and small food vendors to discover and enjoy.
Once Parramatta Light Rail services commence later this year, connecting to Church Street will be even easier, with more than 16,000 visitors expected each day.
