Follow these steps if you pay a regular premium and have a complaint resulting from an insurance claim to an insurer who provides protection against losses such as:
- theft
- disaster,
- or illness.
Steps to follow if you have an insurance complaint
- Contact your insurer.
- Ask for a review using the insurers internal dispute resolution scheme if your concerns were not properly addressed.
- Contact the Australian Financial Complaints Authority if you were not happy about the result of the internal dispute resolution scheme.
