Included activities
See below the licensed activities included under this type of licence in NSW. This should be used as a guide to align the activities a person is licensed to do in their home state with the activities they wish to carry out in NSW.
An Endorsed Contractor Licence authorises its holder to enter into a contract and carry out and supervise any of the following work on appliances, motors and water heaters:
- Disconnection and reconnection of electrical wiring at the equipment itself and only to the extent necessary to permit the non-electrical work to be performed.
- Replacement of equipment on a ‘like for like’ basis.
- Testing necessary for the safe isolation of the equipment to be disconnected and reconnected.
- Testing necessary for the safe operation of the equipment.
- Replacement of ‘blown’ fuses and resetting of ‘tripped’ circuit breakers.
- Equipment operation at voltages up to 1000V alternating current three phase and 1500V direct current.

For any home building project of $20,000 or more, home building compensation insurance is required. Under AMR, interstate licence holders will be unable to obtain this insurance in NSW. They will need to be working for a company that has this insurance or apply to work here under existing mutual recognition arrangements and obtain a licence.
Notify the regulator
Interstate plumbing, draining and gasfitting licensees are required to notify the regulator, NSW Fair Trading, of their intention to work in NSW under AMR.

You can update your notification details or complete the outstanding actions on your notification. Outstanding actions are where you have been asked to clarify information provided in your notification.
