Come to Southern - Allied Health
Sarah Leung - Speech Pathologist, Pambula Community Health
Southern is a beautiful location to work in. We have the best work life balance that I've had in my working career.
Ashley Johnson - Radiographer, Cooma Hospital
It's got that small community feel, there's no traffic lights, no traffic jams. There's kangaroos in your front yard. You can also go to the city and watch a movie and do a little bit of shopping.
Sarah Leung - Speech Pathologist, Pambula Community Health
There's some good coffee places.
Ashley Johnson - Radiographer, Cooma Hospital
In the winter you can go skiing and snowboarding, in the summer you can go hiking, mountain biking, swimming, water skiing - there's so much to do. Yeah, perfect lifestyle for me.

Allied Health in Southern NSW is very collaborative. We all work together, it's really great for personal development.
Sarah Leung - Speech Pathologist, Pambula Community Health
As a speech pathologist, there's a lot of opportunities to act up and to step into different roles, So you can go into the education space, or into, the health promotion stage or project management. We're not stuck in the same place.
Nikkei Simon - Physiotherapist, Moruya Hospital
It really is the first time where I felt like my opinion as part of the Allied Health team does influence my patients care. Doctors and the medical staff really take on board what I have to say.
Adam Hovarth - Social Worker, Queanbeyan District Hospital
You're able to specialize and learn how to provide a great holistic service to all of your patients. You're able to take more control of the work you do.
Ashley Johnson - Radiographer, Cooma Hospital
We're the first center for a lot of ski trauma, a lot of rural trauma and a lot of mountain bike trauma. We get to be hands-on and be involved in resus situations. We might be doing the CPR, we might be cannulating patients - it's that real autonomy that you might not get in the city.

Heather Robertson - Speech Pathologist, Queanbeyan District Hospital
Some members of the speech team have been here for 20 or 30 years. It's really good to have that experience to draw from and be supported by.
Andrea Allan - Speech Pathologist, Queanbeyan District Hospital
The people on the team are very inspiring and they encourage me to do better and better every day.
Brianna Jarvinen - Social Worker, Queanbeyan District Hospital
I'm surrounded by deeply passionate clinicians, you get to do a lot of preventative work and that's really where my passion is.
Adam Hovarth - Social Worker, Queanbeyan District Hospital
There's more opportunity for staff to provide a better wrap around support, get to know people not just in the hospital but in the community.
Ashley Johnson - Radiographer, Cooma Hospital
You really get the chance to talk to your patients and that's my favourite part of the job.
Nikkei Simon - Physiotherapist, Moruya Hospital
You get to do a lot of continuity of care. It's likely I'm going to see the same patients when they're unwell in hospital but also thriving in outpatient setting and you will get spoken to in the local supermarket to get updates about how they're going,
It's a beautiful place to work with wonderful supportive teams and an excellent community.
