Overview
The Price Guide provides comprehensive product, data plan and pricing information to assist registered NSW Government buyers – including government agencies and Emergency Services Organisations – to procure satellite services that best suits their organisation.
What’s included in the Price Guide?
We conduct an annual market review to identify the best satellite solutions, offering a range of choices for both current and future government needs.
The latest Price Guide includes 10 suppliers with more than 400 data plans, featuring options for Low Earth Orbit, Geostationary Orbit, and other satellite services to meet various requirements.
Using our extensive experience and insights from testing emerging satellite services, we provide evidence-based advice to help agencies choose the best connectivity solutions and implementation methods.
The solutions outlined in the Price Guide have been tested in real-world scenarios, including:
- remote office connectivity (fixed location)
- remote working connectivity (mobile)
- agency and public access connectivity, such as place-based MESH wi-fi
- real-time data transmission (transactional data, high-definition video streaming)
- Internet of Things (IoT) sensing and telemetry capture and transport.
Guide to Improving Connectivity
Data and insights from these experiments also inform the Guide to Improving Connectivity. Its decision framework outlines key considerations when deciding on the most suitable connectivity solution for organisations, while the Satellite Price Guide provides indicative service costs.
Used together, these guides allow NSW Government agencies to make informed decisions when enhancing or expanding digital connectivity.
We offer support throughout the selection and procurement process to ensure agencies have considered all factors when evaluating their connectivity needs.
