Service NSW Chief Executive Officer Greg Wells said more than 85 per cent NSW Government transactions were available digitally through the Service NSW website and app, making it quick and easy for customers to access what they need on the go or from the convenience of home this festive season.
“Many people do their Christmas shopping online to save time but may forget they can also complete their business with government online through Service NSW,” Mr Wells said.
“People can not only complete common transactions online like renewing their driver licence and vehicle registration but Service NSW can also help you get holiday-ready with a recreational fishing licence and National Parks pass or by renewing your boat licence or caravan registration.
“Service NSW can even set you up for a new hobby with a bee-keeper or paintball marker licence.”
Mr Wells said there were more than 130 million visits to the Service NSW website in 2022 and more than 3.3 million active users on the Service NSW app in the past 30 days.
“I encourage everyone to jump online and see what services are available – it might just save you a trip to your local Service Centre and give you some time back in your day,” Mr Wells said.
Service NSW Centres across the state will be operating with reduced trading hours and closed on public holidays over the Christmas-New Year period, with normal opening hours resuming from 3 January.
“Customers wanting to attend their local Service NSW Centre over the holiday period are reminded to check opening hours before leaving home,” Mr Wells added.
Service NSW Centres are closed Saturday 24 December to Wednesday 28 December and Saturday 31 December to Monday 2 January.
