Targeted support to meet the recovery needs of storm and flood impacted communities and industries across NSW.

The NSW and Australian Governments are working together to support recovery, repair and rebuilding efforts of storm and flood impacted regions.

As part of this, the Department of Regional NSW is rolling out targeted initiatives and investments to support medium to long term recovery, generate jobs, and build more resilient communities and industries in the most impacted regions.

Hardwood Timber Haulage Subsidy Program

The $10 million Hardwood Timber Haulage Subsidy Program is part of the $150 million Primary Industry Support Package which is co-funded by the Australian and NSW governments. Applications are now closed.

Community Assets Program 2024

For: Local Government
$25 million for the repair, restoration or betterment of community infrastructure that was damaged by the August and September 2022 floods.

$52.5 million to help rebuild and repair storm and flood damaged community infrastructure.

For: Business
$22 million through Round 1 and Round 2 to rebuild, repair and enhance processing businesses within the primary industry supply chains that were impacted by the February and March 2022 floods.

There is no limit on the value of the funding requested for each funding proposal submitted within an application, up to the total value of the Anchor Business Support Grants Program.

Targeted support to help large businesses in the Northern Rivers return to operations and continue to support employment in the region.
