Replacement certificates
The NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) can provide replacement copies of certain school documentation. Find out which certificates we can replace and how to apply.
Applying for a replacement
If you need a replacement copy of your exam results:
- Download the application for replacement examination results and certificates form (PDF 386.72KB). Print and complete it.
- Follow the instructions on the form to return it. You may choose to post the form or bring it to NESA in person. We do not accept forms via email. If posting your form, ensure your identification has been certified in advance.
Types of certificates you can replace
- Higher School Certificate (1967 onwards)
- Tertiary Entrance Score (TES)/Tertiary Entrance Rank (TER) (1988–1996)
- School Certificate (1965–2011)
- Record of School Achievement (RoSA) (2012 onwards)
- Year 11 Preliminary Certificate (1988–2012)
- Leaving Certificate (1913–1966)
- Intermediate Certificate (1912–1966)
- VET Certificates (1998 onwards).
