Randwick Racecourse Trust - Appointment of Trustees
Expressions of Interest are invited from persons wishing to be considered for appointment as a trustee of the Randwick Racecourse Trust.
The Randwick Racecourse Trust (the Trus)t is established under Part 2A of the Australian Jockey and Sydney Turf Clubs Merger Act 2010 (the Act). The principal function of the Trust is to exercise functions under the Act or the Randwick Racecourse lease as the lessor of the Randwick Racecourse.
The Minister for Gaming and Racing, the Hon David Harris MP, has established a selection process to appoint two Trustees.
The selection panel appointed to undertake the selection process will consider expressions of interest (EOIs) based on merit, taking into account a candidate’s abilities, qualifications experience and personal attributes relevant to the performance of the duties of a trustee. Applicants with legal, land use management or planning, racing administration or corporate governance will be highly regarded.
Candidates should have regard to the requirements in the Act for trustees.
Competitive candidates will be required to complete a comprehensive probity assessment to be eligible for appointment.
The NSW Government is committed to diversity and inclusivity on Government boards and committees, and to leading and encouraging diversity in the industry. It welcomes EOIs from candidates with diverse backgrounds.
