Clinical placements
We actively support clinical health placements for Vocational Education and Training (VET) students and professional entry level students in Medicine, Nursing & Midwifery, Dental, Allied Health and other health professional groups as identified in Student Placement Agreements with education providers.
Clinical placements are offered at Nepean Hospital, Springwood Hospital, Blue Mountains Hospital, Lithgow Hospital, Portland Tabulam Multi-Purpose Service, Oral Health, Community Health, Mental Health Service and the Drug and Alcohol Service.
We are dedicated to supporting a safe and quality clinical placement experience where students have the opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes to work successfully in the health care environment.
A student must meet mandatory requirements before clinical placement in any NSW Health facility.
Education providers are responsible for scheduling and allocating clinical placements with us. If you have any questions about a clinical placement, contact your education provider.
If you are an education provider, student bookings are managed through ClinConnect. Information about facilities, placement specialties and availability is regularly updated in ClinConnect.
Education providers can contact the ClinConnect Coordinator at NBMLHD-ClinConnect@health.nsw.gov.au.
