The Local Land Services (LLS) Measuring What Matters project:
- is a survey for land managers on properties of more than 2 hectares in NSW
- takes place once a year for 5 years
- assists LLS in improving services for customers.

LLS aims to provide services which support landholders to manage their property and improve:
- biosecurity
- profitability
- sustainability.
Project background
LLS has implemented the Measuring What Matters project to help land managers achieve their property goals and improve support services. The project helps LLS understand:
- the value of information from Local Land Services
- the usefulness of services provided by Local Land Services
- and the impact of Local Land Services' support on land management practices.
Project delivery
The Measuring What Matters project includes a 15-minute survey and a follow-up survey each year for 5 years, where questions ask how land managers:
- manage threats to their properties
- manage natural and production assets
- prepare for change and emergencies.
Local Land Services will use the findings provide better information and services to support land managers into the future.
