About our Aged Care service

My Aged Care helps you access Australian Government-funded aged care services and provides:
- information on different types of aged care services available to you
- an assessment of needs to identify eligibility and the right type of care
- referrals and support to find service providers that can meet your needs
- information on what you might need to pay towards the cost of your care.
My Aged Care can assist with:
- meals
- nursing
- transport
- respite care
- personal care
- social activities
- domestic assistance
- home care packages
- residential aged care.

Our services
Hunter New England LHD offers high-level, long-term residential care to adults over 65 or 55 for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples that can no longer be supported in their own homes and require 24-hour nursing care.
