Find the eligibility criteria you need to start your application for a NSW Seniors Card or NSW Senior Savers Card and apply to start receiving discounts.
Which card am I eligible for?
We have two cards available for seniors who are 60 or over and are NSW permanent residents.
Seniors Card: Averaging 20 HOURS OR LESS of paid work a week across a 12-month period. This card entitles you to a Gold Opal card with transport concessions Australia Wide. Check the Seniors Card website in the state you’re visiting for further details.
Senior Savers Card: Averaging MORE THAN 20 HOURS of paid work a week, across a 12-month period. This card is not eligible for the Gold Opal card.
How does it work?
Both cards offer members a range of special offers, from shopping and dining, to travel, entertainment, professional services, health and cost of living relief. Use the discount map to find deals near you and see the card holder benefits page for more details on deals available statewide.
What do I need apply?
Once you have selected which card you are eligible for, you will need the following to apply:
- A MyServiceNSW account (you can create one when you start your application). *
- Your email address
- 2 Proof of identity documents - Accepted forms of identification are listed on the application.
- Your postal address
- Your date of birth
* A MyServiceNSW account is not required if you apply by calling 13 77 88. Please allow up to 21 days for us to process your application and send your card.
Can I have a digital card?
You will need an active MyServiceNSW account to add your digital Seniors Card or Senior Savers Card credential.
Add your card to your Service NSW Mobile App for easy access.
1. Log in to the Service NSW Mobile App.
2. Select ‘Add a digital licence or credential’.
3. Select ‘Seniors/Senior Savers Card’ and follow the prompts
Where can I access my digital card?
1. Log in to the Service NSW Mobile App.
2. Select the 'Licences & Credentials' section. If it’s not visible, swipe the licences to the left until you find it.
3. Select your card to show participating businesses.
