The Department of Customer Service (we, us) is collecting your personal information through this form.
What personal information do we collect?
We collect the following information from you:
- NSW Seniors Card or NSW Senior Savers Card (NSW Seniors Card) number,
- Surname.
How will we use and disclose this information?
You are providing this personal information so that we can check the validity of your NSW Seniors Card for the purpose of receiving a discount from a business that agrees to provide discounts to holders of NSW Seniors Cards (“Participating Business”).
This information will only be used for the validation described above and for directly related actions arising from that request. We will communicate the results of the validation (Yes/No) to the Participating Business and share a token, which does not include your personal information.
Your personal information will only be shared between us and Service NSW for the purpose of validation. We will not disclose your personal information to anybody else, including the Participating Business, unless required or authorised by law, such as by court order.
We will use your personal information instantly to verify your NSW Seniors Card validity with Service NSW.
Are you required by law to provide us with this information?
Providing us with the requested information is not required by law. However, if you choose not to provide us with the requested information, we may not be able to verify your eligibility for the discount.
How do we store and protect your personal information?
We will not store your personal information; it will be used instantly as described in’ How will we use and disclose this information?’ section.
We will protect your personal information against loss, unauthorised access, use, modification or disclosure by taking reasonable security safeguards.
