NSW Government progress to date

The NSW Government has implemented a wide range of initiatives in recent years aimed at improving women’s economic opportunities, wellbeing and safety, as outlined below.  

Many of these initiatives are included in the 2018-2022 NSW Women’s Strategy (the Strategy), a whole-of-government framework to improve the economic, social and physical wellbeing of women and girls across New South Wales¹⁵⁷.

The Strategy identified three priority areas for action, including economic opportunity and advancement, health and wellbeing, and participation and empowerment.

Women NSW is currently developing the next iteration of the Strategy.
