Youth Week 2021 will host a range of events and activities that will help inspire, engage and empower our next generation of leaders.
The 2021 theme Together More Than Ever will recognise the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and help provide opportunities for young people to participate.
Youth Week aims to provide a platform for young people to connect with friends, develop new skills and have fun by organising a number of community-focused events.
Events held across NSW will include festivals, cooking classes, movie marathons and colours runs. The NSW Government will fund $335,000 to councils to help run the series of events.
Minister for Mental Health, Regional Youth and Women Bronnie Taylor said young people are the future of NSW regional communities and encourages everyone to get involved.
“The NSW Government is building a safer, stronger NSW and working hard to elevate the voices of young people across the state,” Mrs Taylor said.
Youth Week 2021 will be held from Friday 16 April to Saturday 24 April 2021. To find events happening near you and to get involved, visit Youth Week 2021.
NSW’s art and cultural institutions and independent artists will receive $1 million in financial support to stage next year’s inaugural Sydney WorldPride Festival.
