Data breach announcements

The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD), which administers the Tocal College Student database, was the victim of a cyber security incident. The type of incident was identified as a ransomware case specifically called Loki ransomware. 

The Australian Government has been advised by MediSecure that approximately 12.9 million individuals may have had their personal and health information relating to prescriptions, as well as healthcare provider information exposed by a cyber security incident.

The NSW Government is assisting the response to a cyber security incident involving Outabox and impacting a number of Clubs in NSW and ACT.

Ticketmaster, an American ticket sales company, announced they have been involved in a data breach, potentially affecting millions of customers globally. 

The Australian and NSW Governments are working with a former prescription delivery service provider MediSecure, in relation to a cyber incident affecting the company and it's customers.
