WSI Airport Precinct Roads Network

What’s this about?

Transport for NSW is creating one of Australia’s largest infrastructure and city shaping programs, the 11,200ha Western Sydney International Airport Precinct.

The precinct will become integral to Greater Sydney and NSW. It will transform the area into a thriving cultural, social and economic hub. We are ensuring local communities and industry are connected to the precinct by safe, reliable, and integrated public transport and roads.

The State Environmental Planning Policy (SEPP) for the Western Sydney Aerotropolis released in 2021 established major transport corridors for the Western Sydney International Airport Precinct.

Transport has identified 7 corridors for development. The Precinct Road Network will assist movement around surrounding communities, as well as within the precinct itself. It will cater for all road use including freight, public transport, cycling and walking.

We are progressing development of these corridors for future transport connectivity.

• Bradfield Metro Link Road
• Devonshire Road
• Eastern Ring Road
• Fifteenth Avenue (west)
• Luddenham Road
• Pitt Street.

Community feedback from the Have Your Say process will help us to develop a strategic business case to prioritise the 7 Precinct Road Network corridors and to create a staging and construction plan. The corridors do not need to be fully constructed in time for the airport opening.
