HALT Recognition Ceremony
This ceremony celebrates NSW teachers who have achieved Highly Accomplished and/or Lead Teacher (HALT) accreditation.
About the ceremony
The HALT Recognition Ceremony is an annual event recognising and celebrating the hard work, dedication and achievement of NSW teachers who have attained HALT accreditation.
The ceremony is held annually to celebrate the teachers who have obtained this level of accreditation over the previous 12-month period.
The 2024 HALT Recognition Ceremony was held on Friday 25 October, alongside World Teachers' Day in NSW.

HALT accreditation
HALT accreditation is a voluntary national certification. It recognises and promotes the development of collaborative practice. It also supports teachers to continually reflect upon and improve their practice and the practice of colleagues.

HALT Recognition Ceremony 2022
NESA recognised 85 NSW teachers who achieved HALT accreditation at the 2022 ceremony. This included teachers who achieved their HALT accreditation between 2021 and 2019.
