NESA leadership
The senior management is responsible for running NESA. The organisation follows the leadership of the Chief Executive Officer. The Chief Executive Officer is supported to run NESA and achieve our goals by the Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Executive Directors and Directors.
The most senior role is the Chief Executive Officer.
The Chief Executive Officer is the only role that reports directly to the Board. The board sets the strategic direction for NESA that the Chief Executive Officer must follow.
The Deputy Chief Executive Officer and four Executive Directors report directly to the Chief Executive Officer.
The Deputy Chief Executive Officer supports the Chief Executive Officer in leading the executive team and in managing the day-to-day operations.
There are four Executive Directors that report to the Chief Executive Officer and each manage their own team of Directors.
Executive Director, Strategy and Capability
The Executive Director, Strategy and Capability leads six Director roles:
- Director, Enterprise Programs
- Chief People Officer
- Director, Ministerial Board and Executive Services
- Chief Financial Officer
- Chief Information and Digital Officer
- Director, Communications and Engagement.
Executive Director, School and Teaching Standards
The Executive Director, School and Teaching Standards leads four Director roles:
- Director, Teacher Education and Accreditation
- Director, Teaching Standards and Accreditation
- Director, Regulation of Schooling
- Director, Teacher Policy and Professional Conduct.
Executive Director, Assessment
The Executive Director, Assessment leads four Director roles:
- Director, Curriculum and Assessment Policy
- Director, Assessment Operations
- Director, Assessment Standards
- Director, Assessment Services.
Executive Director, Curriculum
The Executive Director, Curriculum leads five Director roles:
- Group Director, Curriculum Development
- Director, Curriculum Development 7–10
- Director, Curriculum Program Operations
- Director, Curriculum Production
- Director, Curriculum Implementation.
Group Director, Curriculum Development
The Group Director, Curriculum Development, under the Executive Director, Curriculum, leads one Director role:
- Director, Curriculum Development 11–12.
