*Other limited exception include:

  • children aged 16 and 17 who are accompanying a child under the age of 16 and all children are under the supervision of an adult
  • postal workers riding a bicycle in the course of their work duties
  • riders carrying a child under 10 as a passenger
  • riders with a medical condition carrying a medical certificate that states a medical practitioner believes the rider should be allowed to ride on the footpath
  • riders accompanying a rider with a medical condition.

**Electric skateboards are allowed as a mobility aid for people with a disability who meet specific use conditions.

Note: 'Limited to' refers to the speed of the device.
