New ways to move

While pedal bikes have been around for centuries, e-bikes, e-scooters and other small electric-powered devices (also known as e-micromobility devices) are providing new ways to travel. These devices are a great transport option and can:

  • help you get to buses, trains, ferries and light rail
  • link you to friends and family, and to jobs, services, public space and town centres
  • be a fun activity, and a way to socialise, exercise and stay well
  • make a holiday fun, helping you explore new places
  • be a cheaper way to get around
  • help you reduce carbon emissions in your community
  • be a mode for delivering parcels and packages.
