2023 PITCHit Western NSW
In 2023, we have over $60,000 of seed funding available for ideas that:
- capture the hearts and minds of staff to think outside the box to make meaningful change in the health of those in our region to infuse a culture of research and innovation in your team or department
- encourage staff of all levels of experience to participate in the development of the idea
- partner with academics of non-government organisations (NGOs) to strengthen your idea
- an idea that can make a tangible difference to improve the environmental footprint of our organisation.
PITCHit is open to staff across WNSWLHD.
- Step 1 is a written application assessed by an internal team.
- Step 2 is a pre-recorded pitch to an expert external judging panel and virtual or face-to-face audience, where cash prizes will be awarded for the most innovative pitches.
The 2023 PITCHit Western NSW event is proudly supported by our Gold Partner, Newcrest Mining’s Cadia Valley Operations, who have generously provided three years of funding for this event.
Similar to the 2020 event, we welcome a category for pitches relating to Green and Sustainable innovations. As a District, we pride ourselves on encouraging environmentally sustainable work practices and we think PITCHit Western NSW can help to drive more innovations.
Winning ideas will be supported with mentoring and accelerator support from WNSWLHD staff, start-up and academic partners.
When and where
The 2023 PITCHit Western NSW will be both a virtual and face-to-face event. It will be held in mid-2023. Winners will be announced and celebrated on the day.
PITCHit 2020
WNSWLHD held its second PITCHit event on 30 November 2020. The 2020 PITCHit Western NSW event was proudly supported by Cadia Valley Operations, who were also Gold Sponsors for 2019.
