Frequently asked questions

Why should I use Sector Link?

Sector Link allows you to use your regular government agency log-in credentials to sign in to applications and services hosted in Sector Link – without needing to manage a separate username and password.

If you’re a first-time user, and you aren't sure if you are registered with Sector Link, you can sign up here by following the steps below Register a Sector Link account to register your account using your NSW Government login.

Can any NSW Government employee create an account?

If your email address ends with ‘.nsw.gov.au’, or ‘.nsw.edu.au’, you can self-register for Sector Link.

If your email address does not match the above formats, you can contact Premier's Department to be added to Sector Link and assigned appropriate access by submitting a request.

Can I use my existing account, or do I need a new one?

You can use your existing NSW employee account – including username, password and multi-factor authentication (MFA) – for a seamless sign-on experience in Sector Link.

Agencies are integrated with Sector Link to automatically recognise your credentials.

If you require assistance with onboarding your agency with Sector Link, please contact Premier's Department by submitting a request.

How do I access applications in Sector Link as an end user?

You can access applications through the Sector Link MyApps portal, or from agency applications integrated with Sector Link.

What applications can I access in Sector Link?

You can access any application that’s been integrated with Sector Link and where you have been granted access by the Application Owner.

Does it cost me anything?

Sector Link is free for users to access applications, but there is a small cost to onboard applications if you are an app owner.
