Far West LHD hosting free Community barbecue

The Far West LHD Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol (MHDA) Wilcannia Outreach Team is inviting all Wilcannia residents to the free barbecue being held on Wednesday, 30 August 2023 at Baker Park from 11am to 3pm.

“Everyone is welcome to attend the barbecue which we hope will help people identify who the Wilcannia MHDA Outreach Team are and how to contact the team regarding their mental health,” said Desley Mckellar, Aboriginal Mental Health Clinic Leader, Far West LHD.

Ms Mckellar said this was the second community barbecue the MHDA Outreach Team has hosted this year.

“We are hoping to make this an ongoing event that will allow the Wilcannia community and the MHDA Outreach Team to build a stronger connection and relationships that will support the delivery of this service to the community.”
