What is the young people hub?

There are many government services but sometimes finding the right one for you can be hard. You can use the Young People hub to quickly and easily find what you need and connect to NSW government support services.

There are a wide range of resources to support you in becoming an adult, navigating social problems and challenges you might face in day-to-day life.

Why these focus areas?

Young people from all backgrounds have expressed a desire to fill the gaps in their knowledge and experiences that would help guide their decisions coming into adulthood.

Discussing life skills with young people has highlighted that young people often don't know what you need to know until they're in the moment, and it can makes these critical times more stressful and difficult than they need to be. This hub aims to arm young people with a single place that holds key information and services to make navigating these changes, challenges and issues easier.

Who contributes to the young people hub?

The young people hub is managed by the Department of Customer Service, with input from several key agencies across NSW Government.

The Office of the NSW Advocate for Children and Young People

The Advocate for Children and Young People is an independent statutory office reporting to the NSW Parliament and is supported by a small team in the Department of Communities and Justice.

Office for Regional Youth

The Office for Regional Youth connects young people from regional NSW with their community and engages them on issues relevant to growing up and living in Regional NSW.

Youth Justice NSW

Youth Justice NSW helps young people aged between 10 and 18, that have come into contact, or are at risk of coming into contact, with the criminal justice system.
