FearFest is the premier Halloween family event in the Illawarra, attracting an estimated crowd of 6,000 people annually. Held in Port Kembla's Wentworth Street, this vibrant festival transforms the area into a hub of spooky festivities, community engagement, and economic activity.
Designed to celebrate the cultural and economic revitalization of Port Kembla, FearFest fosters tourism, supports local businesses, and strengthens community bonds.
Daytime events will include markets, crafting activities, cupcake decorating, face painting, and photo opportunities with animals and characters. The festival will feature street entertainers, live music performances, and interactive shows.
As night falls, adults can participate in themed events at local venues and in Military Lane including markets, live music from bands, DJs, street performers, haunted houses, and other thrilling activities.
FearFest attracts visitors from across the region, increasing foot traffic and benefiting local businesses. This influx supports the local economy and showcases Port Kembla as a vibrant destination.
