Overview of this event
The Bushwackers, Australia's most beloved folk and country band, are set to ignite the Wests Blazes stage with another standout performance this July.
With a resurgence in popularity after their sensational run on The Voice Australia in 2023, The Bushwackers, led by the dynamic Dobe Newton and Roger Corbett, have become synonymous with the heart and soul of Australian music.
With tunes drawn from the shearing sheds in the bush and original songs such as ‘I Am Australian’ and ‘Beneath The Southern Cross’ to ‘Friend For Life’ and ‘Another Trip to Bunnings’, their foot-stomping music and heartfelt lyrics have united generations, celebrating Australia’s cultural heritage.
The Bushwackers have won three Golden Guitar Awards, created 26 studio albums, been inducted into the Australasian Country Music Roll of Renown and in 2024, won the Contribution to Folk Music Award at the Folk Alliance Australia Awards. They continue to sell out shows and attract fans spanning multiple generations.
The Bushwackers' legendary performances promise an unforgettable experience at Wests Blazes during the Hats Off to Country Festival, where they’ll be bringing all the humour, stories and music which has made The Bushwackers perennial festival favourites, and will create an afternoon to remember.
All Ages.
