Overview of this event
Explore a captivating blend of traditional and contemporary art at the Art & Calligraphy Exhibition held at Forever Young Gallery. This event coincides with Young's vibrant SWSbank National Cherry Festival, offering a unique cultural experience for art lovers and festival-goers alike.
Curated by Young Till, the gallery’s founder, the exhibition showcases a rich variety of works across diverse mediums including her own works inspired by Korean culture and the Hilltops community.
Featured artists include Hyosoon Shin, a distinguished Korean calligrapher with 40 years of expertise in ink and paint, and Ang Hart, whose gestural action paintings delve into the emotional complexities of life. You’ll also discover Heather Ruhl’s innovative mixed-media and mono-prints; there's Leah Reeves’, a proud Kamilaroi woman living on Wiradjuri land, who produces stunning paint pour resin jewellery as a visually impaired artist; and the fine woodworking of Jeff Peady, one of the region’s most respected craftsmen.
This is a rare opportunity to experience the diverse artistic talents of both local and international creators in an inspiring setting. Don’t miss out on this unforgettable event—perfect for art enthusiasts, culture seekers, and anyone looking to immerse themselves in the creative pulse of the Hilltops Region.
