The Griffith Pioneer Park Museum, which opened in April 1971, is a cherished community cultural centre and a significant repository of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area region's distinctive history.
The Museum features several unique components: Bagtown 'Old Griffith' main street; The Italian Museum, which illustrates Griffith's distinctive Italian heritage; the Wine and Irrigation Building, which narrates the local wine industry and irrigation story; and displays of machinery and vehicles, along with a broad and varied collection of artifacts and memorabilia.
A brief drive from the Museum leads to Hermit's Cave and Lookout, offering a panoramic view of Griffith's beautiful rural landscape.
