Victoria Park boat ramp closure for upgrade works

Vessel operators are advised that the Victoria Park boat ramp which provides access to the Murray River, located on Scenic Drive at Echuca, will be closed between Saturday 27 July and Monday 9 September 2024. The closure is required to enable the Campaspe Shire Council to perform boat ramp pavement renewal works.
Navigation Warning
All vessel operators in the vicinity of the works should exercise caution, keep a proper lookout, remain a minimum of 30 metres from any construction work being carried out, comply with any buoyage and signage and ‘minimise wash’ in the vicinity of the boat ramp.
Alternative boat ramp locations include:
- Five Mile Reserve Boat Ramp, Perricoota Road Moama (Downstream); or
- Echuca East Boat Ramp, Goulbourn Road Echuca East (Upstream).

Directions
- Vessels are required to maintain a safe distance and speed from the works and operators are reminded that the production of wash which impacts unreasonably on the works is an offence (Marine Safety Regulation 2016 – clause 11(2) - Maximum Penalty $5,500.00).
- Vessels and persons are required to remain beyond 30 metres of the site. Failure to comply is an offence (Marine Safety Regulation 2016, cl 30(1) – Maximum Penalty $11,000).
