Vessel operators are advised that as a component of the NSW Government recreational Fishing Fee, the Department of Primary Industries places Fisheries Aggregating Devices or FADs strategically along the NSW coast.
The Port Macquarie fisheries aggregating device has dragged approximately 1.5nm south of its usual location and re-anchored at the below location in approximately 90m water depth, 14.8km ESE from the Hastings River entrance:

The buoy
The FAD is a yellow buoy approximately 1.2m high above sea level anchored to the sea floor.
The buoy will display a yellow flashing light with a range of 2 nautical miles with a flash rate of 1 second on / 4 seconds off.

Vessel operators are advised to exercise caution when navigating in the vicinity of this area. This navigation warning remains in place until further notice. Vessel operators are advised that it is an offence to secure or anchor a vessel to a fisheries aggregating device. Penalties apply.
