This Inquiry was conducted by Mr Graeme Head AO and looked into the employment arrangements for the Senior Investment and Trade Commissioner for the Americas.

About the Inquiry

This Inquiry looked into Mr John Barilaro, the former NSW Deputy Premier and Minister for Trade, who was selected for the role of Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner (STIC) to the Americas. The STIC role is a public service role which should be politically impartial and recruited based on merit.

This Inquiry looked into how Mr Barilaro was recruited for the STIC role and whether the proper recruitment processes were followed.
