On 13 May 2014, the Premier announced a package of reforms to strengthen the regulation of lobbying activities. The reforms will ensure that contact between lobbyists and government officials is conducted in accordance with public expectations of transparency, integrity and honesty.
The Review looked at whether the Premier’s Memorandum M2014-07 is meeting its policy objective of providing transparency in relation to lobbying of Ministers and makes recommendations about how it could be improved in light of users’ experience in the first 12 months of operation.
